At this height, it was obvious to me that plunging directly to target should be considered instead of soaring over it. My target came charging towards me, actually it was me plunging towards the target. The noise that I made was disturbing.
As I near the target, a wisp of high velocity side wind came out suddenly from nowhere. It forces me to balance myself as a quick twist of the body brought me in the opposite direction. I quickly soar to another level to assume another attacking stance. This time, I scrutinize the target more carefully. Attacking again ought to be faster than I did the last time else aborting the mission is unavoidable.
As I prepare to attack the second time round, I heard another sudden wisp of high velocity wind. This time from both side. Suddenly the light of day seems to be blocked and it became darker and darker and darker…just before I heard a “Clapppp!” sound. I felt a complete numbness through my exploded and flattened body. The body’s pain relieving mechanism must have kicked in to serve as a consolation to the immense pain that could have followed if I had survived.
Faintly, as I draw the last gasp of air and feeling sore all over my body, I heard a child’s voice calling out, “Mum, I hit one! See!” as he proudly showed his mother his palm with me stuck on it. Mum said, “Thank god, you were not bitten! This place is reported to have dengue cases!”
