3WW: Bridge . Disturbed . Still

Story of Hope

The bridge to the poor, the secluded and the orphaned is built not by one but by many hands. Disturbed though we are by passing scene of miseries, still one can be deeply touch by another through some means. One, a pilot, (see video) went on the news and touches others. His courage, his sincerity and his persistence helped built new bridges to reach the orphaned.

We can truly reach out if we have the will to do so. I have done that so very often. Maybe it comes with my line of work. You see, I am a teacher.

    Thanks for this post!

Try to be Mindful

"Try to be mindful, and let things take their natural course. Then your mind will become still in any surroundings, like a clear forest pool. All kinds of wonderful, rare animals will come to drink at the pool, and you will clearly see the nature of all things. You will see many strange and wonderful things come and go, but you will be still. This is the happiness of the Buddha." - Ajahn Chah

5 Buddhist Precepts

1 abstain from harming living beings | 2 abstain from taking things not freely given. | 3 abstain from sexual misconduct. | 4 abstain from false speech. | 5 abstain from intoxicating drinks and drugs causing heedlessness.

My Daily Motivation

"Just as treasures are uncovered from the earth, so virtue appears from good deeds, and wisdom appears from a pure and peaceful mind. To walk safely through the maze of human life, one needs the light of wisdom and the guidance of virtue."
